RAMANAND SAGAR'S VAISHNODHAM - INDIA

Novel concept of combining the enchanting experience of Vishnodevi with Leisure and Entertainment of a different level.

Mr. Ramanand Sagar, the Electronic Sage as he is very popularly know as, conceptualized a facility at the foothills of the Trikoot Parbhat which would offer the visitors an experience of Vishnodevi and the very essence of what it signifies.

THE VAISHNODHAM EXPERINCE

Vaishnodham is conceived to be a leisure park with a strong mythological presence. The entry to the park is through entry gates, which symbolise the 'vimana' of a temple. The façade generates interest by the usage of elements, which takes the visitor through a feel of the past. The gates open you into a cobble-paved walkway flanked by a restaurant on one-side and administration offices on the other. The stone fountain brings the central focus. The theme of ruins is an effort to make the visitor realize once again the rich heritage we all share. The landscaped outdoors have souvenir vendors who bring a 'bazaar' character. The central spinal walkway takes the visitor through a model of the walk from Katra to the cave shrine. To add a little more excitement to the place, there is a simulator ride where one can experience many mythological themes. The main focus is however on the museum which will showcase the popular images of tele-serials like 'Ramayan' 'Krishna' and 'Vaishnodevi'.

The museum has 2 audiovisual shows where the visitor can again experience the mythology; the museum tour takes the visitor through a pattern of exhibits that tell a story. These exhibits are laid out in an interactive manner to generate maximum interest in the visitor. On the whole, Vaishnodham is an effort to manifest the essence of mythology that has been so very a essential part of Indian heritage.
