'THE GRAND HOTEL' - QLD, AUSTRALIA
Completed in 2002, this luxury high-rise residential resort complex features a beautiful hotel and restaurant area catering for a variety of tastes.
Being in a waterfront location, The Sanderson Group transformed 'Kokonut Willy's', an otherwise standard eating area, into a Calypso style dining experience, complete with themed bars displaying a range of antique nautical items, faux palm trees and a mixture of sand and stone flooring.
The hotel also features one of the Gold Coast's most extensive wine cellars and once again The Sanderson Group's talented team of designers and construction crew transformed the two levels of this outlet with the use of both faux rockwork and natural timbers.
The entire lower section resembles an underground cavern with strategically placed display cabinets and special lighting effects, and the relaxing sounds of the waterfall add to the ambience of the area.
